I'm installing a tile shower. I have cement board attached directly to my joists on my basement ceiling. I am about to tile this, and I am installing a drop ceiling after the shower is finished. How would I go about bringing the drop ceiling grid up to the shower area, since they will be on different planes?
The ceiling I am looking at is Armstrong, it will have a 2 1/2" drop from the joists, therefore leaving me with about 2" step down from the tile to the ceiling face.
My thought was to put a corner bracket along the length of the shower area, then cutting a 2" tall ceiling tile to lay vertically, almost like a soffit, but are there any other better ways to do this? Thanks in advance
